A Few Words on Audio Quality
We prefer to deliver the audio directly to you via e-mail or other electronic means (see below), rather than recording over the phone. We take great pride in our talent, and want you to hear it at its highest fidelity rather than having you hear a degraded version due to limitations of phone lines or other factors. Delivering your audio via the internet is the best way to ensure your audio product gets to you with optimum fidelity.
In terms of audio quality, here are the considerations:
For top quality, audio files loaded directly onto your voicemail or autoattendant system via the internet or other means are the way to go. We'll e-mail or FTP the files to you, and you can load them up. This method is far and away the most faithful in terms of audio quality and fidelity. Sadly, most doctors and small offices lack the necessary technology (hardware and/or software) to do this.
Next in terms of fidelity is having voice talent record directly over the phone to your voicemail. We leave out a music bed when we do this, as background music easily distorts clarity when recorded over a telephone connection. To record live from studio to your system we have to have your pass codes. Though this is the second best option in terms of audio quality, we prefer to avoid it. Why?

Additional fees apply for Direct Recording. Click here for details and pricing.
We have no desire to listen to your confidential messages. Too often, they play when we access your system.
Our voice talent is in very, very high demand. Should the applicable voice talent be in Israel, England, or the other corners of the world where they often travel for on-location work, long-distance charges and connection quality can create substantial issues.
When you provide incomplete or inaccurate recording instructions we have to charge additional fees to compensate our voice professionals for additional time. We don't want that sort of hassle for you. Should you have a special promotion whereby we've promised to record directly, we'll make just one attempt before applying upcharges due to incomplete or inaccurate pass code and access code information.
Recording over the phone has intrinsic challenges, variables and limitations including the quality of the telephone connection, distance of speaker to the telephone handset, quality of the telephone handset, volume used to record the voicemail, and maximum audio quality your voicemail hardware and software can achieve. Since we're in the business of producing top-quality audio, and not in the business of recording over the phone, we prefer to deliver audio to you and have you load or record it (see 1. & 4.)
Playing our voice talent's pre-recorded audio over the phone to your voicemail or answering machine is a valid option that works for most offices. We suggest you do this yourself so that we don't have to play with your passcodes (see above). Background music easily distorts voice clarity when recorded over a telephone connection, so we strongly suggest a voicemail without a music bed for all recordings done over a phone connection. We commonly e-mail our clients both "raw audio" (voice only) files, as well as one with a music bed, so they can select what's right for their unique situation.
Considering the exceptional quality of modern computer speakers or other audio device, what you can do with your speakers over the phone is likely equivalent in audio quality to our capabilities. Recording over the phone ALWAYS results in lost fidelity, so this process can be a bit dicey, with variables and limitations including the quality of the telephone connection, distance of speaker to the telephone handset, quality of the telephone handset, volume used to record the voicemail, and maximum audio quality your voicemail hardware and software can achieve. As stated above, we're in the business of producing top-quality audio, and not in the business of recording over the phone. Our default is to deliver the highest quality audio to you, and have you load or record it to your system or device. In the rare cases where we record directly over the phone for you, we prefer to send you original audio via the internet or FTP so that you can hear the original quality. This allows you to have the audio easily accessible to you should you wish to re-record (for example, if you or your employee accidentally erases the audio).
